What to do to prevent blisters?

What to do to prevent blisters?

Blisters are a common injury during a triathlon. Although a blister may seem trivial it can have a significant effect on your triathlon performance. So, what can you do to reduce your chances of a blister effecting you on race day?

  • Wear good fitting shoes
  • Don't wear new shoes on race day
  • Wear good quality sports socks
  • Wear blister patches
  • Dry your feet after the swim leg
  • Put Petroleum Jelly on your feet

If you have any concerns about injury, fitness or technique make an appointment with Physiotherapists or Exercise Physiologist. Let Symmetry help you run your best race.
